Timberhead Rainforest Resort

Getting to Timberhead involves a trip to the jetty at Timehri, which is just 35 minutes from Georgetown or 5 minutes from Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

From here, you are plunged rapidly into another world. An open speedboat crosses the Demerara River and winds up the Pokerero creek. You are right in the rainforest; tree branches and lianas just overhead, hung with orchids and bromeliads. The boat slows where great logs lie submerged in the water.
